Awarding prizes
Closing date for receipt of entries is 31st January 2009; winners will be notified by the end of February 2009 and winners' names will be posted on Film Education's website. Proof of posting cannot be accepted as proof of delivery. Film Education is not responsible for any technical malfunction of any computer or telephone equipment, or for any error, failure or delay in operation or transmission as a result of server problems, virus, bugs or other causes outside its control. The judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The prize in each category for the winning entrant's school, college or educational establishment is: 4 x iMac 20 core 2 DUO 2.66GHZ 2GB 320GB DVDR HD2600 PRO 256MB; Apple Final Cut Express 4.0; Adobe CS3.3 design standard; 1 x Canon HV30 High Definition camcorder; 1 x Canon EOS 450D 12MP SLR. The prize for winning students in each category is: 1 x Macbook 13.3 core 2 duo 2.1GHZ 1GB 120GB combo. 11-14 runners up receive an iPod classic 160GB; 15-19 runners up will receive a digital SLR camera. There is no cash alternative to any prize. Film Education reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value. Prizes are non-transferable.
Copyright
All entries must be entirely original. By signing the submission form entrants certify that their submissions are their own work. Each entrant assigns to Film Education the copyright in any entry, which shall be for the full period of copyright. Film Education shall be free to assign such rights to third parties. Intellectual property displayed in promotional literature or on a Film Education website is the property of Film Education or other proprietors. It may not be copied, transmitted or used in any way without the prior consent of the applicable copyright holder.
