Kung Fu Panda Competition

CONGRATULATIONS!

Film Education and Paramount Pictures UK would like to thank all the pupils and teachers that entered our KUNG FU PANDA competition. The response has been overwhelming, with entries coming in from primary schools across the UK. All of the entries have been great fun to listen to and the quality has been very impressive. Children have clearly worked very hard on this project and according to many teachers, really enjoyed learning about persuasive texts.

The judges from Film Education and Paramount Pictures UK had a tough time picking an overall winner but the winning entry was praised for its professional sound, persuasive language and effective use of music and sound effects.

The winning group will soon be recording their voiceovers for the UK theatrical and DVD release of KUNG FU PANDA, at cinemas July 4th 2008. Listen out for them! First, second and third place entrants will all receive a KUNG FU PANDA goody bag.

THE WINNING ENTRY

Congratulations to:

A group of 5 pupils aged 9 and taught by Natalie Boon at Avondale Park Primary School in London.

The winners will record their lines at De Lane Lea Sound Studio. De Lane Lea has been used for films such as Harry Potter, The Golden Compass, Wallace & Gromit and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
