Competition Terms and Conditions
Competition winners (group of 5 pupils) and their
parent(s)/guardian(s)/teacher(s) must agree to sign Paramount Pictures
International’s standard assignment of rights.
Entry qualifications - Entry
is open to UK primary schools only. No employee of Paramount
Pictures International and Film Education or their families, or its
agents or sponsors, may enter. By entering the promotion, entrants agree
to be bound by all the stated terms and conditions, and warrant that
if necessary they have secured permission to enter and to be bound by
the terms and conditions from a parent, teacher or other responsible
adult. Due to the nature of the prizes, entries must come through a
school. Only group entries with five pupils per group
will be accepted. Film Education reserves the right to cancel or amend
the promotion at any time and to disqualify any entrant if it has
reasonable grounds to believe that the entrant has breached any of
these terms and conditions. There is no purchase requirement to enter
any promotion. Unfortunately Film Education is unable to return any
entries.
Prizes - Closing
date for receipt of entries is Monday 31st March 2008. Proof
of posting cannot be accepted as proof of delivery. Film Education is
not responsible for any technical malfunction of any computer or telephone
equipment, or for any error, failure or delay in operation or transmission
as a result of server problems, virus, bugs or other causes outside
its control. The winners will be notified on Thursday, 10th April 2008
and the winner’s name will be posted on Film Education’s website. The
judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The prize(s) for the winning team of 5 pupils will be the opportunity
to record a line each (i.e. 5 lines in total) in one of the early crowd
scenes of KUNG FU PANDA, which will be included in the UK theatrical
and DVD release. The winners and guardian(s) will be transported
to a dubbing studio to record their lines (between April 16th - 30th,
venue and date specified by DreamWorks Animation/Paramount Pictures). The
winning school will also be awarded a £2,000 bursary to cover any related
travel expenses. Any surplus may be used for classroom equipment or
other educational purposes. Second and third place runners up
will receive a ‘goody bag’ of KUNG FU PANDA merchandise. There
is no cash alternative to any of the prizes.
Local Authority Child Licence -
The Winners will need a valid child licence from their local education
authority in place by 18th April 2008 before being able to receive their
Prize. The Promoter will provide the Winners with details on applying
for a child licence. Elements required for a child licence include a copy
of the Winners'
birth certificate, doctor’s note certifying fitness and 2 passport
photographs. It is the Winner’s parent’s/guardian’s
responsibility to ensure that the paperwork and supporting documentation
for applying for a child licence is with their local education authority
on time to produce the licence.
Copyright - All entries must
be entirely original. By signing the submission form entrants certify
that their submissions are their own work. Each entrant assigns to Film
Education the copyright in any entry, which shall be for the full period
of copyright. Film Education shall be free to assign such rights to
third parties. Intellectual property displayed in promotional literature
or on a Film Education website is the property of Film Education or
other proprietors. It may not be copied, transmitted or used in any
way without the prior consent of the applicable copyright holder.
Liability- Film Education
cannot accept responsibility for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment
suffered by any entrant entering the promotion or as a result of accepting
any prize. Any personal data relating to entrants will be used solely
in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not
be disclosed to a third party without prior consent.
