Launch of National Schools Film Week

"I believe it’s no exaggeration to say that film literacy, allied to visual literacy and a wider media literacy, are as important for our citizens today as learning how to read and write was when I was in primary school."
Duncan Kenworthy, Chairman, BAFTA

"Film offers more to young people than something to do on a Saturday night. It can inspire, inform, educate and encourage them to question the world they live in. (Film Education) has a key role to play in creating a more media literate generation and is to be applauded." Rt Honourable Estelle Morris MP
