World Intellectual Property Day: film, IP and schools
Introduction
Schools should be aware of issues relating to intellectual property and
ensure that they employ best practice, both setting a good example for
their students and avoiding any complications for the institution. On a
whole-school basis, intellectual property relates to a school's ICT
policy and resources management, as well as having implications for
coursework submissions and practical film and media tasks.
World IP Day is on April 26th, and in 2013, focuses on Creativity: The Next Generation. This article offers some introductory information and advice to teachers, as well as links to other resources and sources of information on intellectual property in an education context.
