Sket
Event information
Film Education held a special screening of Sket during this year’s National Schools Film Week to coincide with the release of our recent resource on this film.
Date: 21 October 2011
Venue: Empire Leicester Square
The students who attended the screening at London’s Empire Leicester Square also had the chance to partake in a Q&A after the screening with director Nirpal Bhogal, actors Riann Steele, Aimee Kelly and Adelayo Adedayo and Jennifer Blake from the Safe ’N’ Sound Youth Project.
Sket tells the story of 16 year old Kayla who is looking for revenge on the notorious gang who cruelly and indiscriminately attacked her sister. Kayla will stop at nothing, even if it means joining a rival girl gang led by the volatile and damaged man-hating Danielle.
