The Filming Shakespeare resource series has been developed to help teachers make Shakespeare engaging and accessible for all learners. With current exam board and National Curriculum requirements in mind, the resources incorporate an exploration of renowned film interpretations into a study of the original texts to help students “develop their interpretive and analytical skills” (QCDA KS4 requirement).
Shakespeare on Screen is a two-disc resource pack featuring a stimulating collection of specially selected film extracts on DVD alongside a CD-ROM of Teachers’ Notes, context sheets, activity sheets and film stills for analysis. Film extracts on DVD are taken from screen versions of Hamlet, Henry V, Macbeth, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Othello, Richard III, Romeo and Juliet and Twelfth Night.
