Film stills

The Diary of a Wimpy Kid novels and films are hugely successful with young people. The activities in this section use still images from the film to get you thinking about the types of children in the film and the funny situations they find themselves in.

Getting started

Look closely at these images. With a partner, try to suggest some ideas about what one character might be saying to the other or thinking about the other. You don’t need to have seen the film; just try to work out what’s going on from looking at the characters’ faces, their body language and what else is going on in the image.
