Land Girls, The

Based on a novel by Angela Huth, the film looks at
events of the Second World War from the perspective
of women who 'fought in the fields', joining the Land
Army to help carry out agricultural work and fill the
shoes of men from farming communities who had bee
called up for armed service. A spirited and poignant
story which looks at how ordinary lives are affected by
extraordinary circumstances.
