This
Oliver Twist educational website is intended both for individual
use for students and to support teachers' existing classroom
teaching. It is particularly targeted at teachers of English,
History, ICT and Film and Media, helping students to learn
about both the novel and film of Oliver Twist and the Victorian
era, through learning resources and activities. Follow the
link below to read further guidelines on the site's relevance
to different subjects.
The Oliver Twist print
study guide offers further activities for the study of the
book, film and historical context and is printable from the pdf
in the left hand menu. The study guide includes exercises on
book-to-film adaptation and writing an imaginative newspaper
article about an event in the novel, as well as suggesting activities
examining Dickens' characterisation, use of symbolism and presentation
of reality and fantasy. |
