Script Conventions
Notice the way the script is laid out – you will need to know the conventions for a later task when you attempt to turn a piece of the autobiography into a piece of script. What are the rules for the following elements?
- People’s names
- Specific items that will have to be acquired or specific locations that may need to be found or even constructed.
- Descriptions of specific camera movements – e.g Pans or Tilts.
- Names and dialogue
- Directions to actors suggesting how to ‘play’ the lines – what emotions to invest them with.
